Job summary

Protiviti India is seeking a junior accountant to manage daily accounting tasks at our Chennai site. You will handle invoicing, GST entries, TDS recording, and bank reconciliations while supporting month-end activities.

Ideal candidates are commerce graduates with 0–3 years of experience, willing to travel daily to a petrol pump site, and prepared to work six days a week from 10:00 to 18:00. An initial 2-year contract with immediate or near-immediate joining is required.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years hands-on accounting experience.
• Commerce graduate required (B.Com or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel daily to designated petrol pump site location.
• 6 days per week work schedule.
• Working hours 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Must be open to signing a 2‑year employment agreement.
• Join immediately or within a 15‑day notice period.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records (sales, purchases, payments, receipts).
• Assist in preparing and checking invoices.
• Make basic entries related to GST (input/output).
• Help in TDS deduction and recording for vendor payments.
• File and organize bills, vouchers, and other supporting documents.
• Assist in bank reconciliations.
• Support senior accountants during month-end processes.
