Job summary

The School Table Tennis Academy is seeking a passionate Table Tennis Coach for weekend sessions at partner clubs in Bengaluru. This part-time/freelance role involves coaching beginners to advanced players, focusing on grip, stance, strokes and footwork, while keeping sessions engaging and safe for all ages.

Onboarding includes mentoring with the founder/lead coach, understanding our coaching methodology and progress tracking, before gradually taking on independent sessions.

Qualifications

• Coaching or playing experience in table tennis.
• Comfortable coaching children and adults across skill levels.
• Good communication with students and parents; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and structured table tennis sessions.

• Cover fundamentals: grip, stance, strokes, footwork, serves, ball control.
• Keep sessions active, positive and engaging.
• Observe progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain attendance and basic student progress records.
• Communicate professionally with students and parents.
• Maintain safe coaching environment and equipment.
• Buddy with lead coach during onboarding and gradually coach independently.

We’re Hiring | Part-Time / Freelance Table Tennis Coach

The School Table Tennis Academy is looking for a passionate and responsible Table Tennis Coach to join our growing coaching team.

This is a weekend coaching opportunity at one of our partner clubs in Bengaluru.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct engaging and structured Table Tennis sessions
• Coach children and adults based on their age and skill level
• Work on fundamentals such as grip, stance, strokes, footwork, serves and ball control
• Keep sessions active, positive and engaging
• Observe player progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain attendance and basic student progress records
• Communicate professionally with students and parents
• Maintain discipline and a safe coaching environment
• Take care of Table Tennis equipment and the training space

Initial Onboarding

The selected coach will initially buddy with the founder/lead coach to understand how The School works.

This includes:

• Our coaching methodology
• Session structure
• Age-appropriate training
• Progress tracking
• Attendance and academy processes
• How we work with our partner clubs

Once comfortable, the coach will gradually take responsibility for independently conducting assigned sessions.

• Willingness to learn and follow The School’s coaching approach
• Weekend availability

Coaching certification is an advantage but not mandatory.

Competitive playing experience at district/state/university/national level will be an added advantage.
