About Grayde

Grayde.ai is a life science AI data company. We provide annotation, model evaluation, and fine-tuning datasets for AI models being built in pharma, biotech, and medical devices – delivered by credentialed domain experts under ISO-certified quality systems.

We're early stage. This is a founding operations hire.

The role

This is a 0 → 1 role. You own everything between the signed contract and the delivered dataset.

That means building and running the specialist network (freelance annotators who work on the projects): sourcing, credentialing, onboarding, performance tracking, fraud controls, and retention. It means designing the quality systems: calibration tasks before any specialist works on a live project, creating training materials and checklists, multi-layer QA pipelines, inter-rater reliability checks, and specialist rating and rewards.

It means running delivery: project planning, risk tracking, client communication, and invoicing. And it means owning project P&L – estimating correctly, allocating resources, and protecting margin.

You’ll build a team from scratch – owning training, assignment and performance management.

What you’ll own

Specialist network: Sourcing, vetting, and credentialing domain experts from around the world to work on the project. Onboarding and training before any live project. Retention and referrals.

Quality systems: Calibration tasks, multi-layer QA pipelines, inter-rater reliability measurement, and client feedback that closes back into contributor training.

Project delivery: Planning, timelines, risk tracking, batch delivery, and client communication from contract to invoice. You're the client's point of contact once the contract is signed.

P&L and operations: Project estimation, resource allocation, and margin tracking. SOPs, tooling, ISO process compliance, and building the delivery team as the business scales.

What we’re looking for

• Someone who has used AI tools actively to build processes and solve operational problems
• Team management skills and experience

Nice to Have

• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, or AI data services
• Familiarity with AI/ML data workflows, annotation projects, model evaluation, or RLHF programs
• Background in localization, translation, or language services operations
• Experience working with ISO-certified quality systems
• Understanding of vendor management and global resource networks
