Job summary

SAP Bengaluru is seeking a data science and AI specialist to deliver enterprise-grade ML solutions. You will work with Python/SQL, ML models, LLMs, MLOps, and cloud deployment within customer-embedded delivery teams.

Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, product managers, and UX teams across global customers, translating business challenges into data-driven solutions and measuring model performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and applied AI in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with hands-on data science, ML, or AI experience.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost) and statistics, feature engineering, model evaluation.
• Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, or AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph).
• Experience deploying ML/AI solutions on cloud platforms with MLOps practices.
• Knowledge of SAP data landscapes (S/4HANA, BTP, AI Core) is an advantage.
• Demonstrates trust, clarity in communication, customer-centric focus, and problem-solving with emotional intelligence.

• Define evaluation metrics, validate model performance, monitor deployed solutions, and implement improvements for accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and UX teams to communicate findings to customers.

Job description

You have hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and applied AI in enterprise environments.

Solid proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on data science, machine learning, or applied AI experience.

Functional experience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost, with a working knowledge of statistics, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

Practical exposure to large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, or AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.

Experience deploying ML or AI solutions on cloud platforms using machine learning operations (MLOps) practices.

Knowledge with SAP data landscapes — such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), or SAP AI Core — is an advantage.

What you'll build
