Job summary

Neo Wealth Management is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to turn ambiguous business problems into working AI products. This role blends product thinking, AI engineering, and software development to own projects from discovery to deployment.

You will collaborate with business, product, and tech teams to prototype AI solutions, build production services, data pipelines, and integrate AI with enterprise workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills.
• Experience with backend frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Solid understanding of databases, APIs, authentication, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Comfortable with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to debug and work through unfamiliar systems independently.

Responsibilities

• Work with business teams to identify high-impact problems solvable with AI.
• Convert ambiguous requirements into clear technical and product solutions.
• Build and test AI prototypes with real users quickly.
• Develop production applications using LLMs, agents, RAG, APIs, and traditional systems.
• Build backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations.
• Experiment with models, prompts, and architectures; evaluate performance.
• Create lightweight tools or interfaces when needed for end-to-end delivery.

• Partner with engineering teams to scale successful solutions.

About the Role:

We are hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to turn ambiguous business problems into working AI products.

This is not a traditional engineering role with fixed specs. You will work directly with business, product, and tech teams to define problems, identify AI opportunities, prototype solutions, and take them to production.

You will span product thinking, AI engineering, and software development, owning work end-to-end from discovery to deployment.

What We’re Looking For:

Applied AI experience

• Hands-on experience with:
  • LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)
  • Prompt engineering and structured outputs
  • Tool/function calling
  • RAG and vector search
  • AI agents and workflows
  • Model evaluation and observability
• You should know when to use LLMs and when not to.

Product & problem-solving ability

• Ability to structure loosely defined problems independently.
• Strong product intuition and bias toward simple, fast solutions.
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and users.
• Ability to challenge requirements and identify root problems.
• High ownership and comfort with ambiguity.
