Job summary

Biomatrix Healthcare in Ahmedabad is seeking a formulation development scientist to develop and optimize formulations for tablets, capsules and other OSD products, and to assess excipient compatibility.

Responsibilities include selecting excipients, establishing formulation composition, conducting lab trials, scale-up and technology transfer from R&D to production, and preparing development protocols, reports and technical documents.

• Develop and optimize formulations for tablets, capsules and other OSD products.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies and evaluate API/excipient compatibility.
• Select suitable excipients and establish formulation composition.
• Perform laboratory trials, optimization batches and comparative studies.
• Prepare and maintain formulation development protocols, reports and technical documents.
• Conduct trials for granulation, blending, compression, coating and encapsulation processes.
• Optimize critical process parameters and formulation variables.
• Support scale-up and technology transfer from R&D to production.
• Participate in process optimization, troubleshooting and investigation of formulation/process-related issues.
• Evaluate physical and chemical properties of in-process and finished products.
