Responsibilities
  • Navigating through the gruelling demands of dining operations and fostering discipline, order, and quality in food safety standards.
  • Foster camaraderie and teamwork to manage rapid-fire kitchen demands; ensure high standards in food safety and quality.
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure dishes meet or exceed standards.
  • Review and develop menus based on nutritional value, popularity, and cost; sample prepared food before service to guarantee palatability and flavour conformity.
  • Develop ways to gauge customer satisfaction, handle complaints about food quality and service, and resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, safety, and overall performance; determine popular food offerings among consumers.
  • Manage inventory and records for cafeteria operations; coordinate all equipment maintenance, repairs, waste removal, and pest control; conduct hygiene audits (internal and third-party).
  • Ensure proper documentation and records (sanitation, food subsidy records, etc.) meet government standards.
  • Manage catering events: coordinate with clients and vendors on facilities and services, align production schedules, and determine food quantities and types.
Qualifications
  • Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 7–12 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Interpersonal skills with a strong client focus; experience in customer service or client-facing roles; familiarity with corporate real estate and facilities management principles.
  • Experience in fine dining, Event operations, or high-volume service; proven experience managing staff (scheduling, training, performance management).
  • Strong budget management and financial skills, including P&L, food & labor cost controls.
  • Knowledge of health codes, food safety standards regulations; experience with inspections and compliance checklists; knowledge of occupational safety requirements.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management/ Food & Beverage Services.
