Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited is seeking a Flash Boot Loader Software Engineer to lead bootloader development for automotive ECUs. You will work on Flash Bootloaders (FBL) with AUTOSAR-based stacks, implement security features, configure HSM and Secure Boot, and design diagnostics over CAN-FD.

You will also drive platform integration, mentor engineers, and ensure ASPICE-compliant software delivery.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Computer/Mechatronics or related field.
• 4–8 years of software engineering experience in automotive bootloader development.
• Experience with AUTOSAR-based bootloaders and ECUs.
• Experience with CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet and MCU platform integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of Flash Bootloaders (FBL) using AUTOSAR stacks.
• Implement security features, configure HSM and Secure Boot for ECU firmware.
• Design UDS services at the application layer over CAN-FD/Autosar.
• Integrate MCAL layers and low-level drivers for transceivers and SBCs.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams to ASPICE-compliant software.
• Perform system-level debugging using Multi-GHS, Lauterbach TRACE32 and Vector tools.

Job Description

As a Flash Boot Loader Software Engineer, you will lead the development and implementation of advanced bootloader solutions for automotive ECUs. Your key responsibilities include:

• Bootloader Development: Lead the end-to-end development of Flash Bootloaders (FBL) using ETAS RTA-FBL or similar AUTOSAR-compliant stacks.
• Security Integration: Implement security features and configure Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and Secure Boot, Secure Flash mechanisms to protect ECU firmware from tampering.
• Diagnostics: Design and implement UDS (ISO 14229) services at the Application layer level for ECUs with the available Autosar stack, ensuring robust communication over CAN-FD and Automotive Ethernet.
• Platform Integration: Configure and integrate MCAL layers (NXP S32K3xx, Renesas RH850) and handle low-level driver integration for transceivers (TCAN1145) and SBCs via SPI.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams (Architecture, Testing, and Hardware) to deliver ASPICE-compliant software.
• Validation & Debugging: Perform advanced system-level debugging using Multi-GHS, Lauterbach Trace32 and validate communication protocols using Vector CANoe/CANalyzer.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with Project teams/OEM's for Requirement clarifications, Field Issue analysis and debugging.
