Job summary

Atos in Chennai is seeking an experienced Fixed Assets Accountant to manage asset creation, capitalization in SAP and monthly depreciation. You will review reconciliations, prepare capex reports, and coordinate with auditors across time zones. Strong ERP skills and knowledge of IFRS/GAAP are essential.

The role requires 4–7 years of relevant experience and a proactive approach to asset management, with a focus on accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across time zones/cultures.
• Ability to work effectively with ERP systems (SAP, OneStream or similar).

Responsibilities

• Creation of Fixed Assets and capitalization in SAP.
• Monitoring Fixed Assets activities.
• Reconciliation review of fixed assets vs sub-ledger monthly.
• Capex reporting to summarize unpaid capex and capitalization changes.
• Depreciation posting monthly and reconciliation review.
• Asset retirement/disposal per business requests.
• Liaising with internal and external Auditors.
• Generation of fixed assets reports for management review.
• Updation and maintenance of Asset Master.
• Capex GRIR account reconciliation.
• P&L and Balance Sheet overview.
• Preparation of KPI metrics.
• IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Fixed Assets migrations and clearing.
• Technical support for Fixed Assets.
• Cost posting for maintenance and lease.

Role & responsibilities :

• Creation of Fixed Assets and capitalizing it with proper supporting and accounting respectively in SAP
• Monitoring entire Fixed Assets activities
• Review the fixed assets recon on monthly basis to ensure the GL balance matches with sub ledger
• Preparation of capex reporting to provide the overview of the unpaid capex and capitalization increase during the year/period to management
• Depreciation posting on monthly basis and same will be reviewed during reconciliation
• Asset retirement/Disposal will be made as per request from business
• Liaising and coordinating with internal and external Auditors
• Generation of report on various aspects of fixed assets for Business/management review
• Updation and maintenance of Asset Master
• Capex GRIR account reconciliation
• P&L and Balance sheet overview
