Job summary

Skill Matrix in Bhopal is seeking a Fitter for a full-time, on-site role. You will read mechanical drawings, measure and mark materials, and assemble and align mechanical components and equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, drilling, grinding, and assembling mechanical parts.
• Experience with fitting, alignment, and installation of mechanical components, machinery, or structures.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical principles, measurement techniques, and quality checks.
• Understanding of workplace safety standards, use of PPE, and safe handling of tools and materials.
• Ability to work in an industrial or workshop environment, including standing for extended periods and handling moderate physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
• ITI, vocational certification, or relevant technical training in fitting or mechanical trades (or equivalent practical experience).
• Prior experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
