Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. in India is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design and develop firmware for microcontrollers used in power generator products.

You will work on control algorithms, communication interfaces, and tests across Industrial, Commercial and Residential lines. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating test specifications, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
• 5 years of embedded programming experience in C/C++/C#
• Expert knowledge of communication protocols and hardware interfaces
• Ability to design and test firmware for embedded systems

Responsibilities

• Provide new product development support for embedded controllers in various generator/product areas
• Design, validate, and bring new products to market including firmware for communication interfaces and system algorithms
• Design new control algorithms and perform Applications Engineering
• Develop new firmware or software modules and maintain supporting documentation
• Create test specifications for firmware/software and participate in design reviews
