Metal Power Analytical Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in microcontroller‑based control systems, power electronics, data acquisition, and industrial communication.

The candidate should be proficient in Embedded C, STM32/ARM Cortex‑M, timers, ADC calibration, TCP/IP, RS485, MODBUS, SPI, and I²C, with strong hardware–firmware debugging skills. You will design, develop, and optimize production firmware, implement robust communication

Qualifications

• Expert in Embedded C/C++ for microcontroller-based firmware.
• Proficient with STM32/ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and peripherals.
• Experience with Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus, RS485, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting for real-time embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade embedded firmware in Embedded C/C++.
• Develop firmware for STM32-based MCUs and drivers (Timers, ADC, PWM, SPI, I2C, UART).
• Implement TCP/IP, RS485 and MODBUS communication and register maps.
• Perform hardware–firmware integration and system-level debugging with STLink/JLink.
• Optimize real-time performance, memory usage, and deterministic timing.
• Participate in firmware architecture reviews and documentation.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in embedded product development, particularly in microcontroller‑based control systems, power electronics control, data acquisition, and industrial communication.

The candidate should have strong experience in Embedded C, STM32/ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, timers, ADC calibration, TCP/IP, RS485, MODBUS, SPI, and I²C.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade embedded firmware using Embedded C/C++
• Develop firmware for ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers, preferably STM32.
• Configure and develop drivers for Timers, PWM, ADC, DMA, SPI, I²C, UART
• Develop firmware for power control and MOSFET switching applications.
• Implement PWM‑based control of MOSFETs and power stages.
• Implement ADC calibration, timer‑based triggering for ADC sampling and control loops.
• Implement and tune PID/control algorithms where required especially for fast switching applications.
• Develop and debug TCP/IP and Ethernet communication.
• Implement RS485 and MODBUS RTU communication.
• Develop communication protocols and register maps for industrial/control applications.
• Perform hardware–firmware integration and system‑level debugging (with STLink or JLink).
• Analyse timing, ADC sampling, PWM, switching, and communication issues using digital oscilloscope.
• Optimize firmware for real‑time performance, CPU utilization, memory, and deterministic timing.
• Participate in firmware architecture, design reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Experience in handling digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of hardware/firmware issues and provide corrective solutions.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Must have:

• Ethernet/lwIP, DMA, PID/control algorithm development
• ADC calibration and timer‑based triggering for sampling and control loops.
• Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessor and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, Modbus, USB).

Good to have:

• Experience with FPGA (VHDL and Verilog), RTOS/FreeRTOS, and Power electronics
• Experience with LVDS and CAN
• Experience with MOSFET switching applications
