Mirafra Technologies is actively seeking an experienced, high-caliber, and technical Firmware / Device Driver Developer with 2.5 to 6 years of progressive professional experience in embedded software engineering, low-level device driver development, and hardware-software integration to join our client engineering team on a full-time permanent on-site basis in Bangalore, India (embedded development only; application development and IoT profiles are not required). In this critical systems engineering and firmware development role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing bare-metal firmware, RTOS-based software, and kernel-level device drivers for complex semiconductor chips and electronic hardware. You will leverage your deep specialist expertise in C/C++, embedded microcontrollers, peripheral protocols, and hardware debugging to deliver uncompromised system reliability, high performance, and operational excellence. This opportunity offers competitive compensation, executive technical visibility, and exceptional career growth prospects within a premier global semiconductor and embedded engineering enterprise.
As a Firmware / Device Driver Developer supporting Mirafra Technologies in Bangalore, India (embedded development only), you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of low-level device driver implementation, board bring-up, peripheral configuration, and firmware optimization across mission-critical silicon platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing, writing, testing, and maintaining robust C and C++ source code for embedded processors, MCUs, and SoCs, implementing and validating device drivers for standard hardware peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe, DMA, GPIO, Timers), configuring, customizing, and debugging real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, ThreadX) and bare-metal execution environments, collaborating closely with cross-functional hardware engineering, IC design, and QA squads in Agile sprint cycles, conducting rigorous oscilloscope debugging, logic analyzer tracing, JTAG debugging, and root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve complex low-level anomalies, preparing comprehensive technical documentation of firmware architectures, register maps, and operational runbooks, and managing application requirements by sending your updated resume via direct email to Susmita Ghosh at susmitaghosh@mirafra.com (please mention the position name in the email subject line). You will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills to resolve complex hardware interaction and timing bottlenecks under strict service level agreements. Furthermore, you will manage application requirements ensuring strict compliance with the 2.5 to 6 years experience requirement, pure embedded development focus, and Bangalore on-site presence.
When applying for this Firmware / Device Driver Developer position through Mirafra Technologies, ensure your resume explicitly highlights your embedded C/C++ and peripheral driver portfolio, emphasizes pure embedded development experience over application/IoT profiles, and confirms your availability for on-site work in Bangalore.
