Job summary

Adani Airports Holding Limited is seeking a trained ARFF firefighter to respond to aircraft incidents, fires, and medical emergencies at the airport. You will perform firefighting, rescue, and medical services to protect people and property on site.

The role requires a Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology and ARFF certification, with 2–3 years of relevant experience. Expect routine drills, inspections, and collaboration with airport operations and external agencies.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification from an accredited firefighting academy is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in firefighting, preferably in aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) operations.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergency situations on airport property.
  • Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
  • Extinguish fires using various firefighting techniques, including water, foam, dry chemicals, and other agents.
  • Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke-filled and hazardous environments.
  • Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS) to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive.
  • Assist in transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed.
  • Inspect and maintain firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and PPE daily.
  • Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure readiness.
  • Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills.
  • Prepare incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits.
  • Adhere to SOPs and regulations; identify hazards and take corrective action.

Job Purpose

Firefighter is responsible for responding to aircraft and structural fire emergencies, medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and other emergencies within the airport premises. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew, and airport personnel by performing firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services.

  • Maintain detailed incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines related to firefighting and emergency response and ensure all tasks are performed following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify potential hazards during patrols and inspections, ensuring immediate corrective action.
  • Prepare and submit accurate incident reports, equipment logs, and other required documentation.
  • Collaborate with airport operations, medical services, and external emergency agencies during incidents.
  • Coordinate with the Duty Manager, ATC, and airport authorities during emergency operations and drills.
