Job summary

Adani Airports Holding Limited is seeking a skilled Firefighter (ARFF) to respond to aircraft and structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents at the airport. The role ensures passenger and staff safety through firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services.

Qualifications include a Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent and 2–3 years’ ARFF experience. You will work under the ARFF Airport Operations Team to maintain readiness and compliance with SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent; certification from an accredited firefighting academy.
  • 2-3 years of firefighting experience, preferably in aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) operations.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazMat events on airport property.
  • Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to protect people and assets.
  • Maintain vehicles and PPE, conduct daily inspections, and manage equipment inventories.
  • Participate in drills, training, and regulatory audits with SOP adherence.
  • Prepare incident reports and logs for regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with Duty Manager, ATC, and external agencies during emergencies.

Job Purpose:

Firefighter is responsible for responding to aircraft and structural fire emergencies, medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and other emergencies within the airport premises. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew, and airport personnel by performing firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services.

Emergency Response:
  • Respond promptly to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergency situations on airport property.
  • Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
Fire Suppression:
  • Extinguish fires using various firefighting techniques, including the use of water, foam, dry chemicals, and other firefighting agents.
  • Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke-filled and hazardous environments.
Emergency Medical Services:
  • Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS) to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive.
  • Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed.
Operational Readiness:
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure their readiness for use.
  • Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills.
  • Maintain detailed incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines related to firefighting and emergency response and ensure all tasks are performed following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify potential hazards during patrols and inspections, ensuring immediate corrective action.
  • Prepare and submit accurate incident reports, equipment logs, and other required documentation.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with airport operations, medical services, and external emergency agencies during incidents.
  • Coordinate with the Duty Manager, ATC, and airport authorities during emergency operations and drills.
