Job summary

JLL Gurugram is seeking a dedicated Fire Safety Specialist to lead compliance, inspections and emergency response across on-site facilities. • Fire safety compliance: ensure adherence to local and national fire safety laws and regulations.
• Fire prevention & inspection: perform regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Emergency response: lead evacuation procedures, firefighting operations, and coordination with local fire services.
• Fire safety training: conduct drills and awareness programs for occupants, staff, and contractors.
• System maintenance: monitor and maintain fire detection and suppression systems (alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, hydrants, lighting).
• Incident investigation: investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Emergency preparedness: develop and update emergency plans, routes, and assembly points.
• Documentation & reporting: maintain records of inspections, tests, trainings, and incident reports for compliance.
• Permit management: issue and monitor hot work permits and ensure safe practices during maintenance or construction.
• Stakeholder coordination: liaise with building management, tenants, contractors, and authorities to ensure safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Fire Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, codes, and standards as per local and national fire safety laws.
• Fire Prevention & Inspection: Conduct regular fire safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure readiness of fire protection systems.
• Emergency Response: Lead fire emergency response activities including evacuation procedures, firefighting operations, and coordination with local fire services.
• Fire Safety Training: Conduct fire safety training, drills, and awareness programs for building occupants, staff, and contractors.
• System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain fire detection and suppression systems including fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, hydrants, and emergency lighting.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate fire incidents, near-misses, and false alarms; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective actions.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop, review, and update fire emergency response plans, evacuation routes, and assembly point protocols.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, equipment testing, training sessions, and incident reports for regulatory compliance.
• Permit Management: Issue and monitor hot work permits, ensure safe work practices during maintenance or construction activities.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with building management, tenants, contractors, and fire authorities to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
