Job summary

Amazon is looking for a driven Financial Analyst to become a major contributor to the fast‑paced world of Global Accounts Payable. You will own and manage direct relationships with TOP vendors and coordinate problem solving to ensure a smooth flow of business processes.

We seek candidates with strong communication and analytical skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to dive into detail in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports that inform business decisions.
  • 4+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
  • 2+ years applying KPIs to analyses.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA.

Responsibilities

  • Identify root causes for problems in the supply chain or internal systems and lead fixes with action plans.
  • Analyze supplier trends and govern mediation requirements based on trends.
  • Be the main contact for TOP Amazon suppliers to build trust and resolve conflicts to prevent disruptions.
  • Prepare vendor health scorecards and review accounts likely to cause delivery holds.
  • Address vendor inquiries and ensure the use of Amazon tools.

Amazon is looking for driven Financial Analyst to become major contributors to the fast-paced world of Global Accounts Payable.

About The Role

The successful candidate will be a member of the Global Finance Operations and will be responsible for vendor experience and complex dispute management.

Responsibilities Will Include
  • Identifying root causes for problems within the supply chain or in internal Amazon systems and leading the initiative of fixing these problems- conduct follow-up tasks, communicate opportunities for improvement and agree action plans
  • Analyze key Supplier trends, govern mediation requirement based on analyzed trends
  • Acting as a main point of contact for TOP Amazon Suppliers, with the goal to develop good business relationships, create mutual trust, and resolve any conflicts to avoid shipment holds or other business interruption
  • Prepare vendor health scorecard Conducting reviews and identifying vendor accounts that are likely to become a delivery hold situation and pro-actively working on their account balances
  • Addressing any account related inquiries and concerns from vendors and ensuring vendors know to use the Amazon tools
Other Requirements
  • Analyzing metrics relating to operational performance and effectively presenting data to vendors and internal teams
  • Working actively and accurately on an independent basis; giving great attention to detail and displaying the initiative to quickly identify and resolve variances, failures and discrepancies
  • Interacting with Retail & Finance teams while working on the same vendor account and agreeing on priorities, business decisions, objectives and communication
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 4+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience
  • 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Master's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
  • 4+ years of data analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
  • Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse
  • 3+ years of data analysis experience
  • Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits), or experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments
  • Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences
