Job summary

Amazon Finance Operations (FinOps) is seeking a Customer-Obsessed, Results-Driven Financial Analyst to join our FinOps – Operations Readiness Team in Hyderabad. You will lead complex AP improvement initiatives and partner with Global Teams to deliver scalable, high-controllership solutions.

The role requires 6+ years in AP, a bachelor's degree, and a proven track record of driving cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
  • Experience in a customer-focused field or business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.
  • Results-oriented work ethic with a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Program Lead to manage and drive large-scale, complex programs and projects from inception to delivery, coordinating with cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.
  • Understand and translate business requirements into actionable solutions, ensuring comprehensive implementation across people, processes, policies, and technology.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to test and launch scalable solutions that meet customer needs while adhering to high controllership standards.
  • Ensure consistent, efficient project execution by following Amazon's governance and project methodology frameworks, delivering optimal, high-quality, and scalable solutions.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles, working closely with business partners, key stakeholders, and team members. Always have contingency plans (Plan B) in place to address challenges.
  • Monitor the health of the project after go-live, ensuring that key metrics are tracked and reported to the Senior Leadership team according to the agreed timelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of FinOps.

As part of this ongoing evolution, we are seeking a Customer-Obsessed, Results-Driven Financial Analyst to join our FinOps – Operations Readiness Team.

In this role, the Financial Analyst will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly growing environment. This individual will lead complex projects and initiatives that influence FinOps and AP processes across Global Support Centers, collaborating closely with Global Teams, including Business Partners, Technology, Tax, and Subject Matter Experts.

This is an exciting, hands‑on opportunity to be part of a team that shapes Accounts Payable processes within Finance Operations Support Centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for process innovation and a proven ability to exceed expectations in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. A key focus of this role will be driving innovation on behalf of customers and vendors. The successful candidate will also apply structured, analytical thinking to tackle problems while inspiring project teams with exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills. This will enable them to resolve conflicts, drive cross‑functional decision‑making, and ultimately deliver impactful results.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma analytical techniques
  • Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles, or experience using Oracle
