Ethera is an organization that combines its designs, people, data and processes to deliver products of outstanding value to its customers. We create fine jewellery that our customers love. We are based out of Jaipur and New York and intend to hire for this position in the Jaipur office.

We are seeking a Jewellery Designer cum Merchandiser to serve as the creative and communication bridge between the company and its key international customers. This role requires not only a refined sense of jewelry design but also the ability to proactively engage with clients in fluent English, both written and spoken. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the interface between client and internal functions – production and sales, ensuring that costing assumptions are validated with manufacturing aspects.
• Own the end-to-end design-to-price logic, ensuring that every design proposed to a client is commercially viable, correctly priced, and aligned with agreed target costs.
• Ensure accurate costing and pricing of all jewellery designs by applying disciplined, methodical cost breakdowns.
• Design & Development: design imaginative pieces of fine jewellery with poise, drawing inspiration from the world around and a desire to create.
• Develop customized jewellery that can be unique and original, allowing patrons to express their emotions and sentiments; enhance appreciation for colors, pattern, subtlety, sparkle and versatility of gemstones.
• Develop a sixth sense for fine jewellery styles and trends—research emerging trends to gain insight into customer needs and the social and cultural forces shaping them.
• Keenness to Learn & Cross-Functional Collaboration: demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn beyond the immediate design function; gain working knowledge in areas such as Microsoft Excel for data management, design trackers and costing sheets, and target costing and pricing principles.
