Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Catering Sales Manager at Chai Break in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting catering services, managing client relationships, coordinating events, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Base Location: Kolkata, HO

Responsibilities and Duties:

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Work closely with business units to gather inputs and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for business strategies.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
  • Provide insights into revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.

Strategic Support

  • Partner with senior management to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
  • Provide recommendations based on financial data and market trends.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and highlight business performance drivers.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in financial results.

Cost Management

  • Analyze operational costs and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Support initiatives to improve margin and profitability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with finance, operations, sales, and marketing teams to align financial plans.
  • Support investment and capital expenditure decisions.

Compliance & Accuracy

  • Ensure financial planning processes adhere to internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy across financial systems.

Presentation to Leadership

  • Prepare management decks, presentations, and board-level reports.
  • Communicate complex financial data in a clear, business-focused manner.
  • Streamline financial planning processes through automation and tools (Excel, ERP, BI tools).
  • Stay updated on industry and economic trends impacting business performance.

Knowledge, Skills required for the role:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and forecasting techniques.

Experience with ERP and BI tools (SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred.

Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
