Job summary

Cornerstone OnDemand in Pune is seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to join the Global Shared Services team. You will record accounting transactions for General Ledger, software capitalization, and support audits, with a focus on timely close and reconciliations.

You will collaborate with remote teams globally, prepare journal entries, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong controls and accuracy. This role requires readiness for EMEA shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in Record to Report/General Ledger.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close processes and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Support the finance team in the preparation of financial statements, data analysis, and reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and analyses for balance sheet areas.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting work: General Ledger, capitalization of software, accrued expenses, intercompany, debt, closing and reporting.
• Assist with global consolidation of subsidiaries and consolidated statements.
• Communicate with department leads to identify potential accruals.
• Document and improve current accounting processes and policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Respond to audit queries to ensure timely, accurate information.

Role & responsibilities

Cornerstone OnDemand is looking for Finance Operations Analyst. The position will be part of Global Shared Services team in Pune. Finance Operations Analyst will primarily be responsible for recording the accounting transactions for General Ledger, Capitalization of software, preparing account reconciliations, supporting internal and external audit as per company policies.

In this role you will...

• Manage monthly close processes and prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate closing of the books for internal and external reporting Support the finance team in the preparation of financial statements, data analysis, approval validation, and reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and analysis in specific areas which may include major areas of the balance sheet.
• Accountable for end-to-end accounting work, including General Ledger, Capitalization of software, accrued expenses, Inter Company, Debt, Closing and Reporting.
• Assist with the global consolidation of the companys subsidiaries and preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Communicating with departments leads to identifying potential accruals
• Document and improve current accounting processes and policies
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, streamline workflows and controls, and continually identify opportunities for automation
• Respond to both internal and external audit queries to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests
• Foster an environment of high-quality work, team collaboration and continuous improvement

You Have What It Takes If You Have...

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, C.A./CMA/ACCA
• Should have 1-4 years of experience in Record to Report/General Ledger
• Experience in collaborating with remote colleagues and employees globally

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Knowledge of NetSuite is considered an asset
