Job summary

Moody’s is seeking a highly organized professional to support ratings and research efforts in India. The role requires analyzing Korean-language financial statements, applying accounting judgments, and producing MIS outputs such as ratios and charts to aid rating decisions.

You will collaborate with analysts and accounting specialists to ensure data accuracy and impact. Experience in KPI dashboards, data automation, and strong Excel skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience with strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Korean language skills mandatory (TOPIK Level 4 or above).
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to support ratings and research teams with high data quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis to support ratings, research and analytical outreach.
• Input and analyze Korean-language financial data for ratings and research processes.
• Create and review MIS outputs including ratios, charts, and graphs following MIS methodologies.
• Liaise with analysts and accounting specialists to understand accounting concepts for entities.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, dashboards, and reporting to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Lead projects or process improvements and review junior team members’ work on straightforward tasks.

Skills And Competencies

• Looking for 3+ years of relevant work experience & Good understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and financial analysis
• Language skills are mandatory (Korean)
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial data to support ratings and research teams . Strong skills with an attention for detail to ensure high-quality data deliverables
• Working knowledge of applicable methodologies
• Individual must be organized, dependable, and able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative, and have the ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and particularly Excel, such as pivot tables, lookups, etc
• Exposure to data analytics, visualization, and automation tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and Power Automate is preferred and would be considered an added advantage
• Stakeholder Management - Interact with Manager and support analysts to resolve complex issues. Project Management - Develop proficiency in more than one project / deliverable with limited guidance.

Education

• Graduate or Post graduate degree required; specializations in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, preferred.
• TOPIK Level 4 or above certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis to support ratings, research, analytical outreach. Examples of work include:
• FDS (Korean language expert) have a significant input to the ratings and research process by analysing financial statements and data provided by Issuers
• FDS uses accounting and finance knowledge and judgment to perform financial statement spreading (Korean language), adjust reported data per relevant methodology requirements and review & analyse ratios
• Apply MIS' standards to complex deliverables in order to produce valuable inputs into the rating and research process, including Moody's adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts and graphs in line with MIS’s methodologies
• Liaise with analysts and accounting specialists in order to understand the application of accounting concepts on a particular entity. Create documentation and provide guidance to support analysts
• Work directly with ratings and support analysts to understand data capture requirements, adjustments and other information needed by the rating team for ratings and research. Also, Identify opportunities for process enhancement and support the development of automated solutions, dashboards, and reporting capabilities to drive efficiency and scalability
• Take initiative to lead projects or process improvements. Undertakes review of junior team member’s work for straightforward tasks.

Our Ratings operations and Control - Data & Analytics (ROC – D&A Fundamental) team is responsible to perform a range of data, analytical and research services that contribute to the overall credit analysis function performed by the fundamental rating group.
