Job summary

Tristone Strategic Partners LLP in Mumbai seeks a hands-on BI Analyst to design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and investor reporting packs. You will develop data models, implement DAX measures, and manage data flows using Microsoft Fabric to support governance and scalable reporting.

Responsibilities include extracting and transforming data with SQL, creating three-statement financial models, and presenting insights to client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards, including DAX and Power Query
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation
• Strong finance fundamentals — analyse financial statements and annual reports
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to prepare a three-statement financial model
• Ability to conduct secondary research independently
• Strong communication skills — presenting data models and dashboards to client stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for client-facing management information and investor reporting packs
• Build and maintain data models in Power BI, including DAX measures and Power Query (M) transformations
• Develop and manage semantic models, dataflows, and lakehouses within Microsoft Fabric to support scalable, governed reporting
• Design data pipelines to extract, clean, and transform data from client source systems into reporting-ready structures
• Write SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation
• Own the end-to-end BI workstream for the client engagement — requirements gathering, data modeling, dashboard build, QA, and iteration based on client feedback
• Document data models, refresh schedules, and governance/access controls for client dashboards
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare three-statement models
• Prepare equity trading comparables, precedent transaction analysis, and other valuation support analytics
• Automate recurring management information and investor reporting packs using Excel and Power BI in combination
• Assist in preparing management or investment presentations, information memorandums, and business plans
• Comply with IT policies and procedures and maintain security of client information at all times
• Work directly with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables

Job description

• Build and maintain data models in Power BI, including DAX measures and Power Query (M) transformations

Requirements

Must Have

• 1–3+ years of hands‑on experience building Power BI dashboards, including DAX and Power Query
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation
• Strong finance fundamentals — ability to analyse financial statements and annual reports
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to prepare a three‑statement financial model
• Ability to conduct secondary research independently
• Strong communication skills — comfortable presenting data models and dashboards directly to client stakeholders
• A team player with strong analytical rigor and attention to detail

Nice‑to‑have

• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric (semantic models, dataflows, lakehouse architecture)
• Experience with data from education‑sector, ERP, or school‑management systems

Qualification-

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Preferably CFA Level 1 (or progress toward it)
• Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification is an advantage
