Qualifications

• CA/MBA or equivalent qualification required.
• Month End Process experience is required.
• 7+ years in a similar role preferred.
• SAP or major ERP experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end month-end close process globally to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage the month-end calendar, deadlines, and bottleneck resolution.
• Ensure consistency in close activities across P&L, balance sheet, and trial balance.
• Collaborate with BPO partners and regional accounting teams to execute closing activities.
• Identify and remediate control or process issues identified during close cycles.
• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of the close process.
• Support group audit and compliance with documentation and evidence.
• Prepare and present closing KPIs and performance metrics to management.

Job description

The Month-End Controller is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end month-end close process globally, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with group accounting policies. This role acts as a key liaison between the Shared Service Centre (SSC), regional controllership teams, and group to deliver high-quality financial results and to continuously improve the efficiency of the closing process.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end calendar, ensuring transparency, adherence to deadlines, and proactive resolution of bottlenecks.
• Lead and oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure consistency in ways of working and roust control of trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet positions.
• Collaborate with BPO partners and regional accounting teams to ensure effective execution of closing activities.
• Identify, report, and support remediation of control or process issues identified during the close cycle.
• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement in the month-end close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy.
• Support group audit and compliance requirements, ensuring documentation and evidence are complete and readily available.
• Prepare and present closing KPIs and performance metrics to management, highlighting improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Qualification (CA/MBA or equivalent) or advanced level in career.
• Month End Process Experience
• Experience in similar role for at least 7 years.
• SAP or major ERP experience including
• Experience managing BPO organisation in delivering month end process
• Good organizational skills, ability to manage workload to ensure all key deadlines are met.
