Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Bengaluru is seeking a Finance Controller to own accounting, reporting, regulatory filings, and internal controls for a fast-growing fintech startup. You will work directly with the founders to shape the finance function from the ground up.

Ideal candidates are CA with 2–3 years post-qualification experience, CS an added advantage, and hands-on experience in cross-border payments and multi-currency accounting.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA; CS is an added advantage.
• 2–3 years of post‑qualification experience in finance, fintech, or a regulated environment.
• Hands-on with cross-border payments or multi-currency operations.
• Comfortable being the sole finance person and building structure from the ground up.
• Clear communication with founders, not just finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting from bookkeeping to month-close and financial statements.
• Manage regulatory filings and compliance across applicable fintech and RBI frameworks.
• Build internal financial controls from scratch.
• Prepare MIS reports, board-level summaries, and investor-ready financials.
• Handle cross-border payment reconciliation and multi-currency accounting.
• Partner with founders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Set up systems, processes, and vendors as the company scales.
