Job summary

Embrace Software Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Finance Controller to lead all financial and accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive strategic planning in a remote role.

The ideal candidate will oversee audits, tax filings, and integrations from acquisitions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will manage monthly closes, prepare financial statements and reports, optimize cash flow, and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• CA certification required and recognized in India.
• 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting, including 3–5 years in a Finance Controller role, preferably in a SaaS/software or technology company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; MS Excel proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance functions with accuracy and compliance.
• Lead accounting processes including A/P, A/R, GL, and financial statement prep.
• Conduct monthly closes, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial management, compliance, and strategic planning. The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving financial strategy. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, and business integrations. This role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to support acquisitions and overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all finance functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Lead accounting processes, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Conduct monthly book closures, reconciliations, and variance analysis to maintain financial integrity.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, compliance with financial regulations, and statutory audits.
• Support financial due diligence for acquisitions, ensuring smooth integration of new businesses.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize cash flow, cost management, and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve internal controls.
• Co-ordinate and provide analyses that support the decision-making of senior leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA certification is required.
• 8+ years of overall experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3-5 years in a Finance Controller role, preferably in a SaaS/software or technology company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
