RSM US in India is seeking a highly experienced Supervisor US Payroll to lead a dedicated payroll team and oversee end-to-end US payroll processing from Bengaluru. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and handles inquiries from employees.

You will coordinate with HR and Benefits, manage tax filings, W-2s, year-end reconciliations, and drive process improvements while mentoring staff and staying current with changing payroll regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; FPC or CPP required.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in payroll, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll regulations, tax compliance, and payroll best practices.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage accurate and timely processing of US payroll, including regular, off-cycle, and bonus runs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including IRS and DOL/FLSA requirements.
  • Oversee and support payroll schedules, tax filings, W-2 issuance, and year-end reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with HR and Benefits teams to execute employee data changes, benefits, and deductions.
  • Support payroll audits and provide documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a team of payroll specialists.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to ensure team effectiveness and compliance with best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Supervisor US Payroll to diligently lead team members for our US Payroll operations. This role will oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, interact with the necessary workgroups to ensure a smooth payroll, and handle employee inquires related to payroll. . The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of payroll systems, payroll taxation, best practices , and team leadership.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Excel, ServiceNow
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with quarter end and year end payroll and payroll tax analysis
  • Client facing experience and executive presence, experience navigating client disagreements and service recovery

  • US shift, 8-5 EST/EDT
