Amazon.com is seeking a Financial Analyst I to drive high-impact insights and implement scalable processes across policy, program, tech and product teams. You will analyze large data sets, develop dashboards, and use data to guide stakeholders in decision making, while delivering results with minimal guidance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment to improve performance for sellers and customers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience.
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
• 2+ years of applying KPIs to analyses.
• Knowledge of Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting.

Amazon.com looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join as Financial Analyst I. We are seeking a candidate who will primarily be responsible for driving generation and implementation of high impact improvement insights and solving challenging business goals. You will utilize data and develop creative processes to improve your team’s performance. You will directly work with policy, program, tech and product management teams to develop scale-able, long-term solutions which will have a significant impact on sellers, customers and Amazon. Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams, partners, and management. The candidate should have a track record of delivering results, experience processing large amounts of data and report generation & management. The candidate should be clear and use data to drive their communication with stakeholders. The candidate should be able to resolve issues with reduced guidance.

Key job responsibilities

• Establish Standard Operating Procedures, process controls, recommend revisions and ensure alignment with business goals
• Able to drill into large amounts of data and extract meaningful business metrics.
• Perform data analysis on trends observed and recommend solutions to the product and Business teams
• Collaborate with partner teams and stakeholders across the globe to deliver on key business goals and objectives by driving consensus and building trust
• Establishes key reporting for functional area & write well-structured and detail oriented reports in a clear, concise and audience-specific format
• Demonstrates the ability to dive deep into a problem, performs ‘root cause analysis,’ and identifies constraints to recommend a solution

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
• 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
• Experience using data to influence business decisions
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
