Amazon India Limited, a part of the US-based Amazon, seeks a Finance Analyst to support Central Accounting and Tax Compliance within FOAA. You will perform month-end closings, reconcile sub-ledgers, and deliver Flux analyses with clear explanations for stakeholders.

You will partner with auditors and drive improvements in controls and processes. The role emphasizes applying KPI-led analyses, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, using Excel, Oracle, SQL and related tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience.
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
• 2+ years of applying KPIs to analyses.
• Knowledge of Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Perform or support month end activities including closing sub ledgers and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare month end Flux analysis for P&L and balance sheet accounts and explain changes.
• Apply accounting knowledge to resolve complex issues and consult leadership for resolution.
• Ensure financial policies, procedures and internal controls are in place and document improvements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and address issues with GST tax returns and sub-ledger reports.
• Interact with auditors on audit queries and support smooth audits.
• Support GRC compliance, internal controls and align improvements with stakeholders.
• Support new business/system launches including UAT of accounting entries and reporting.

Financial Analyst, FOAA Amazon is a US-based multinational electronic commerce company headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority.

FOAA is seeking a Finance Analyst to support our Central Accounting and Tax Compliance.

Key Roles and Responsibilities are:

1. 1. Perform/Support the month end activities which include closing of sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet account analysis.
2. 2. Prepare month end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance sheet accounts and share with Stakeholders along with the analysis on the reasons for the changes.
3. 3. Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting and apply this in-depth knowledge, principles and systems design to recognize complex and unique issues and develop resolution and/or consistently consult with leadership in order to achieve resolution
4. 4. Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures and internal controls are in place, documented and also work on process improvements.
5. 5. Responsible for Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations (reconciliations with GST Tax returns/sub-ledger reports) and highlighting and taking necessary action upon the issues appropriately.
6. 6. Interact and working closely with the auditors on audit related queries and ensure smooth completion of the audits .
7. 7. Responsible for GRC compliance, internal control and get the alignment of improvements/changes with the Stakeholder.
8. 8. Perform and support new business/system launches including UAT of the accounting entries and financial reporting.

Basic Qualifications -

• 1+ years of finance experience
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
• 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
• Experience using data to influence business decisions
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

Preferred Qualifications -

• 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
