Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai, India is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to lead management reporting, budgeting and forecasting across mining operations. You will build robust financial models, analyze profitability and support strategic decision-making with senior leadership.

Applicant should bring 4–8 years in FP&A or related finance roles, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/SAP and BI/reporting tools.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in Financial Analysis / FP&A / Business Finance / Management Reporting.
• Experience in Mining, Metals, Manufacturing or asset-intensive industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow budgeting/forecasting.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, MIS and financial dashboards.
• Support annual budgeting, business planning and rolling forecasts.
• Analyze revenue, operating costs, production costs, margins and profitability.
• Perform variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
• Develop financial models for mining operations, production, CAPEX and OPEX.
• Analyze cost per tonne, production volumes, recovery and operating efficiency.
• Support cash-flow forecasting, working capital analysis and financial planning.
• Partner with Mining, Operations, Procurement and Commercial teams to improve cost visibility.
• Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
• Track CAPEX, project economics, investment returns and financial performance.
• Support business cases, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.

• Analyze revenue, operating costs, production costs, margins and profitability.
• Perform actual vs. budget vs. forecast variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
• Develop financial models for mining operations, production, CAPEX and OPEX.
• Analyze cost per tonne, production volumes, recovery, productivity and operating efficiency.
• Support cash-flow forecasting, working capital analysis and financial planning.
• Partner with Mining, Operations, Procurement and Commercial teams to improve cost visibility.
• Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic and operational decisions.
• Track CAPEX, project economics, investment returns and financial performance.
• Support business cases, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.

Desired Profile:

• 4 – 8 years of experience in Financial Analysis / FP&A / Business Finance / Management Reporting.
• Experience in Mining, Metals, Manufacturing, Heavy Industry or similar asset-intensive industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Exposure to ERP/SAP and BI/reporting tools will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work with large operational and financial datasets.
• International / Africa mining experience will be an added advantage.
