Job summary

IQVIA in Bengaluru is seeking a Project Financial Analyst 2 to support project finance tasks for Speaker Bureau. You will be the main point for financial questions on budgets, spend and billing, liaising with account managers, internal finance teams and services.

You will conduct monthly project reviews, monitor revenue recognition, prepare reports, review changes, and ensure proper documentation of journal entries, write-offs and reconciliations across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and relevant accounting/finance background.
• 4+ years accounting or project finance experience.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, backlog forecasting and cash flow.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills; ability to identify issues.
• Ability to coordinate multiple requirements and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly review and analysis of assigned projects, including revenue recognition and variances.
• Monitor monthly compliance reports to ensure timely reporting of revenue and billing.
• Prepare monthly project reports including backlog and ad-hoc analyses.
• Review and approve work movements and revenue adjustments.
• Ensure project journal entries, write-offs and adjustments are documented and approved.
• Monitor unbilled/write-off activity and resolve unusual items.
• Coordinate budgeting loads into the financial system and reconcile with contracts.
• Review rate exception reports and coordinate with Global Project Services.
• Ensure project check-off throughout lifecycle and communicate status.
• Complete project close-out procedures and perform reconciliations as needed.

Job description

As Project Financial Analyst 2, you will support the project finance tasks for Speaker Bureau. You will be the main point for any financial question related to current projects: budget, spend and billing; have the ability to liaise with and coordinate a number of key stakeholders, including account managers, internal finance teams and services. Project Accountants should be able to understand the contracts with our clients, analyze and provide accurate data, be highly organized and excellent communicators and proficient in business finance.

Job Overview

• Conduct monthly review and analysis of assigned projects, including review of revenue recognition, project performance variances, and unbilled/unearned positions.
• Monitor monthly compliance reports, to ensure timely reporting of revenue and billing deliverables by Project Manager.
• Prepare monthly reporting requirements for assigned projects, including unsigned contract opportunities, backlog, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
• Review and approve work movements and changes, and final remaining revenue adjustment for assigned projects.
• Ensure project journal, write-offs, and financial adjustments are properly documented, reviewed and approved.
• Monitor Unbilled, Write-off activity, Over the Limit and Contract Activation exception reports and resolve/escalate unusual activity.
• Coordinate loading of global project budgets to financial management system, including collection of non IQVIA International Pricing (QIP) supported budgets. Review / reconcile loaded project budgets to ensure accuracy against contracted values.
• Monitor and action monthly compliance reports, to ensure timely reporting of revenue and billing deliverables by Project Manager.
• Review / monitor rate exception reports and coordinate resolution of rate issues in a timely manner with the Global Project Services Group.
• Ensure review and completion of Project Check-off list throughout the project lifecycle (Activation, Configuration and Close-out).
• Complete project close-out procedures and communicate Project Status Action to the Global Project Services Support Group.
• Perform project level unbilled/unearned reconciliations as required.
• Will be assigned responsibility for projects, customers, and/or programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Req
• 4+ years' accounting or project finance experience Req Or
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Req
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, variance analysis, unbilled/unearned and cash flow management, and backlog forecasting.
• Knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Technical accounting skills.
• Good analytical and numeracy skills.
• Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
