Job summary

Rams Venture based in Lucknow is seeking an experienced finance and administration leader to head the finance function for its Indian operations and support the UK group. You will supervise reporting, ledgers, and internal controls while partnering with cross-functional teams.

You will own the NAV-based finance platform, drive continuous improvement, and ensure timely statutory and management reporting, budgets, and forecasts. Strong Excel, SQL, and data visualisation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with Power BI for dashboards and data visualisation.
• Knowledge of financial statement analysis and cost of goods sold is preferred.
• Ability to work in a startup environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and administration functions for the Lucknow location.
• Provide SME support to the UK company and group entities.
• Prepare statutory and management accounts, KPIs, forecasts, and budgets.
• Manage ledgers: sales, purchase, and order processing; vendor claims.
• Define processes, controls and drive continuous improvement across the group.
• Oversee NAV finance system and ensure cross-functional knowledge.

Role & responsibilities

Scope: This is a permanent Lucknow based role.

To run the finance and administration functions and be key support to the UK company. You will be part of the Outsourcing team where you will be the Subject Matter Expert to the other functions across the all entities.

Reporting

Responsible for all reporting you and the team produce accurate and timely information for use by the business:

• Statutory Accounts
• Management Accounts
• KPIs
• Forecasts
• Budgets
• Cost Centre analysis
• Tender analysis
• Any other ad-hoc, etc

Transactional Processing

Responsible for transactional processing and ledger management:

• Sales Ledger
• Purchase Ledger
• Sales Order Processing
• Sales Invoices
• Purchase Invoice Processing
• Supplier Claim systems
• Any other shared admin tasks in the UK Group

Processes, Procedures and Internal Controls

You will define processes, procedures and internal controls across the Group working with other departments to ensure we have robust and efficient processes and controls.

You will head up Continuous improvement for the Finance and Admin functions and aid the rest of business where they need support on this.

You will be responsible for the Finance Systems and be the Process and Super User for Finance for the NAV software system and other systems used by Finance. You will ensure that you have someone else in your dept who has similar knowledge and skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

• SQL, Advanced Excel, Data Visualisation/ Power BI
• Data Analysis of Financial Statement, Product, stock valuation, Cost of goods sold. Comparison/ Analysis of Stock Data, Stock Movement, Month End closing Journals
• Well organised and able to work to the agreed deadlines
• Capable of working in a Start-up atmosphere handling pressure situation effectively
• Effective Communication and Presentation Skills Strong analytical and management skills.
