A dynamic IT consulting firm in India is looking for a UK Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably with UK regulations.
• Strong understanding of UK taxation regulations is essential.
• CA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or CMA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial models and MIS reporting.
• Solid FP&A, MIS reporting and financial planning ervaring.
• Experience working with UK clients or UK-based entities.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare and maintain UK statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP / IFRS.
• Oversee UK payroll processing, including PAYE, NICs, and pensions.
• Support investment analysis, business cases and financial modelling.
• Coordinate with senior management on strategic financial decisions.
• Prepare UK statutory accounts and ensure UK GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Manage month-end and year-end close; handle VAT, PAYE, CIS and HMRC filings.
• Maintain general ledger, reconciliations and journal entries; ensure controls.
• Oversee UK payroll processing and RTI submissions; liaise with providers.

Skills

Strong hands-on experience in UK accounting and corporate finance

Good knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, VAT, and HMRC compliance

Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite

Advanced Excel skills (financial models, pivot tables, MIS)

Strong knowledge of financial modelling, MIS reporting, and FP&A

Experience working with UK clients or UK-based entities

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Corporate Finance

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and MIS reporting for management.
• Assist in cash flow management, working capital analysis, and cost optimization.
• Support investment analysis, business cases, and financial modelling.
• Coordinate with senior management on strategic financial decisions.

Accounting & Compliance (UK)

• Prepare and maintain UK statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP / IFRS.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Handle VAT returns, PAYE, CIS (if applicable), and HMRC filings.
• Ensure compliance with the UK Companies Act and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and UK stakeholders.
• Practical experience with HMRC portals and statutory filings.

Reporting & Controls

• Maintain general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Ensure strong internal controls and audit readiness.
• Prepare and present management reports and dashboards.
• Support process improvements and automation in finance operations.

Payroll and Employment Compliance

• Oversee UK payroll processing, including PAYE, NICs, and pensions.
• Ensure RTI submissions and payroll reconciliations.
• Coordinate with payroll providers where applicable.
