Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards and management packs for UK & Dubai leadership weekly/monthly.
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and cost drivers.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Build and maintain financial models for planning and profitability analysis.
• Track KPIs and translate into meaningful insights for decision-making.
• Partner with UK & Dubai department heads to understand cost centres.
• Assist with UK and UAE statutory compliance with the core accounting team.
• Ensure data accuracy and reconcile discrepancies; automate recurring reports (Excel/BI).
• Present findings to non-finance stakeholders across UK & Dubai.

About the Role

We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented candidate with a strong financial analytical background to support a client engagement covering the United Kingdom and Dubai, while based out of our India office. This is a dedicated project role, with a single client group operating across the UK and the UAE as the primary focus. It centres on turning financial data into clear, actionable insights for the client’s management — building dashboards, tracking performance against budgets, and driving reporting accuracy — rather than transaction-heavy bookkeeping. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, building reports independently, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and management packs for the client’s UK and Dubai leadership on a weekly / monthly basis
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Build and maintain financial models for planning, profitability analysis, and business case evaluation
• Track key business metrics / KPIs and translate them into meaningful insights for decision-making
• Partner with client department heads in the UK and Dubai to understand cost centres and provide analytical support
• Assist with UK and UAE statutory compliance touchpoints in coordination with the core accounting team
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting tools and reconcile discrepancies proactively
• Automate and improve recurring reports to reduce manual effort (Excel / BI tools)
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to non-finance stakeholders across the UK and Dubai

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (B.Com / M.Com); MBA Finance preferred
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in MIS reporting, financial analysis, or FP&A roles
• Good understanding of finance and accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting
• Advanced MS Excel skills are a must — pivot tables, VLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, financial modelling, dashboarding
• Working knowledge of Power BI or similar BI / visualisation tools strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear business insights and recommendations
• Exposure to UK VAT / HMRC or UAE VAT compliance a plus (or willingness to learn UK and UAE-specific regulations)
• Familiarity with ERP / accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (for regular interaction with client stakeholders in the UK and Dubai)
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple reporting deadlines, and prioritise effectively

Preferred Attributes

• Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel
• Familiarity with multi-currency reporting (GBP, AED, INR)
• Prior experience in a similar industry (if applicable)
