Seven Seas Strategies is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join the finance team in a hybrid work environment. The role targets candidates with 1–3 years of experience and a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis.

You will support the Financial Controller in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day accounting activities, while delivering insights to guide business decisions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (M.Com is a plus).
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial data and prepare management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Perform bank, vendor, and account reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable/receivable and general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and schedules.
• Use QuickBooks to record transactions and generate reports.
• Assist with audit preparation, tax documentation, and compliance.
• Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate to improve financial processes and internal controls.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and business reports.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of experience who has a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis and is eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.

As a Financial Analyst, you will support the Financial Controller in managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day accounting activities. You should be comfortable working with financial data, maintaining accuracy, and providing insights that support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial data and prepare management reports, including:
  • Profit & Loss Statement
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow Statement
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Perform bank, vendor, and account reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules.
• Work with QuickBooks to record transactions and generate financial reports.
• Assist with audit preparation, tax documentation, and statutory compliance.
• Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to improve financial processes, reporting, and internal controls.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and business reports as required.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or a related field. M.Com is a plus.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Exposure to audit support and compliance activities.
• Familiarity with US accounting or multi‑entity bookkeeping is an advantage.
• Experience in improving financial reporting processes or workflows.
