Job summary

American Express is seeking a finance professional in Gurugram to manage end-to-end AR/AP processes, sub-ledger reconciliation, and reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will support audits, contribute to process standardization, and leverage automation and Gen AI tools to enhance daily operations, while aligning with Blue Box leadership behaviors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Commerce with relevant accounting knowledge.
  • 2–4 years of experience for graduates or 1–3 years for postgraduates.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS/local GAAP and accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily RC and accounting of sub-ledger control accounts for AENB including banks.
  • Support audits on the bank side and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with customers, business partners, and technology teams to deliver accurate reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Daily R&C and accounting of Sub Ledger Control accounts for AENB (American Express National Bank) including Federal Saving Banks, maintaining high accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Support various audits performed on bank side.
  • Lead and participate in Standardization and continuous improvement Initiatives as well
  • Consistently understand and exceed Customers requirements whilst ensuring effective teamwork at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with the prevailing policies and procedures besides contractual and regulatory requirements as applicable
  • Maintain close contact with Customer / Business Partners, Technologies and other interface groups
  • Enthusiasm to leverage Gen AI tools and capabilities to automate the daily process and add the value-added analysis to the deliverables
Qualifications
Experience
  • Graduate with 2-4 years of experience
  • Postgraduate in Commerce with 1-3 years of experience
Technical
  • Awareness of US GAAP/Local GAAP/IFRS (Accounting knowledge)
  • Analytical skills with the ability to undertake cause effect analysis
  • Knowledge of financial systems Preferred
  • Basic understanding & appreciation of automation capabilities
  • Understanding of business products
