Job summary

Finvey is seeking a Financial Analyst to build models, dashboards, and reporting for client work. You will transform financial and operational data into clear analyses for founders and finance teams, and automate recurring tasks so the team focuses on insights.

You will develop budgeting and forecasting models, perform variance analysis, and implement dashboards to support decision-making. Collaboration with accounting and finance teams is essential for accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar role.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including financial modelling.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication, with the ability to present numbers simply.

You will turn financial and operational data into clear analysis for founders and finance teams, and automate recurring work so the team spends its time on insight rather than data preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, valuation, and fundraising.
• Analyse performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, and explain what is driving the variances.
• Run cost and margin analysis and recommend ways to improve them.
• Turn financial and operational data into management dashboards and insight packs for client and internal teams.
• Automate recurring finance tasks and reports using tools such as Make, spreadsheet scripting, and the Xero and Zoho Books APIs.
• Use AI tools to speed up analysis, data cleanup, and drafting, and help standardise workflows the team reuses.
• Work with the accounting team to make sure the numbers behind each report are accurate and consistent.
