HP is seeking a Finance Transformation Strategist in Bengaluru to lead strategy and execution of a next‑generation finance operating model. You will shape AI adoption across finance processes and advise senior leaders on transformation decisions.

The role requires deep finance expertise, experience with large programs, and the ability to drive change across functions by leveraging AI, automation, and analytics for measurable value realization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, business, accounting, economics or related field; CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA preferred.
• Typically 12+ years of experience in finance transformation, strategy, or enterprise transformation.
• Proven experience with top consulting firms or extensive consulting partnerships.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, controls, operating models and design.
• Experience driving AI, automation, analytics, ERP transformation or shared services.
• Ability to influence exec stakeholders and lead enterprise initiatives.

Finance Transformation Strategist Description - Job Summary Lead Finance Transformation strategy and execution by bringing deep Finance domain expertise, external industry perspectives, and leading practices to accelerate business value. This role will shape the future Finance operating model, drive AI and digital adoption across Finance processes, and influence strategic transformation decisions with senior Finance and business leaders. The individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executives, combining Finance expertise, transformation experience, and consulting-based problem-solving to deliver sustainable business outcomes, operational excellence, and transformative change across the Finance function.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the Finance Transformation strategy, roadmap, and target operating model aligned with business priorities and enterprise objectives.
• Bring external industry insights, benchmarks, and leading practices to inform Finance transformation priorities and investment decisions.
• Identify and assess emerging trends in AI, Intelligent Automation, Digital Finance, Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS), and Finance operating models.
• Partner with senior Finance, Business, and Technology leaders to shape and influence strategic transformation initiatives.
• Strategize complex transformation programs across Finance domains including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Controllership.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI, Copilot, automation, and analytics to improve Finance effectiveness, efficiency, controls, compliance, and decision-making.
• Develop business cases, transformation roadmaps, value realization frameworks, and executive-level recommendations.
• Facilitate executive workshops, strategy discussions, and governance forums to align stakeholders and drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Data, and Digital teams to accelerate transformation execution and adoption.
• Drive organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies to ensure successful implementation of transformation initiatives.
• Establish and monitor transformation KPIs, value realization metrics, and maturity assessments to measure progress and outcomes.
• Mentor teams and cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and external orientation across the Finance organization.

Education & Experience

Recommended

• Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Typically 12+ years of experience in Finance Transformation, Strategy, Finance Consulting, or Enterprise Transformation roles.
• Proven experience working with leading consulting firms or partnering extensively with consulting organizations to deliver large-scale transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes, controls, operating models, and organizational design.
• Experience driving Finance modernization initiatives involving AI, automation, analytics, digital platforms, ERP transformation, or shared services.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
