Job summary

Omnicom Global Solutions India is seeking a Senior Associate - Finance to manage standard accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, indexing and vendor setup. You will work with US-based accounts and tax teams, handling tax applicability, payables, and related month-end tasks in a high-volume environment.

You should be a commerce/accounting graduate with 2–4 years AP experience, strong MS Excel skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce / Accounting.
• Accounts Payable experience of 2–4 years.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting and AP processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Extremely detail oriented.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices including indexing and matching.
• Manage month-end high-volume invoice processing.
• Perform 2-way/3-way matching.
• Understand US accounting processes and tax rules.
• Determine tax applicability on transactions.
• Act as Pay Agent and process client/vendor payments.
• Set up new vendors in the accounting system.
• Handle vendor mailbox and month-end accruals/flux analyses.

Experience - 3 to 5 Years

Shift Timing - 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST ( During Day light Savings: 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST )

Hybrid Mode - 3 Days Work from Office per week

Skills - Experience working on a US accounts,Experience working with US based Sales and Use Tax, Accounts Payable, Invoice Processing ,Experience reviewing contracts is a plus

About the role

We have an exciting role of Senior Associate - Finance. You will play a key role in performing standard Accounts Payable activities like invoice processing, indexing, matching etc. This might be a great fit if you are result-oriented and excited to be part of a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Processing vendor invoices, Indexing, Matching.
• To be flexible in processing large volumes of invoices during month end.
• Perform 2 way / 3 way matching.
• Hands-on experience in US accounting processes, with a good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of sales tax, including its applicability to transactions and vendor/customer invoices.
• Understanding of use tax and scenarios.
• Ability to determine the tax applicability of tangible and non-tangible goods/services based on relevant tax rules.
• Understanding of acting as a Pay Agent, including processing payments on behalf of clients or business entities and ensuring payments are made as per agreed instructions.
• Knowledge of when a contract is required and the circumstances under which vendor/client agreements need to be established.
• Experience managing shared mailboxes, including monitoring incoming requests, responding to queries, assigning/forwarding emails, tracking pending items, and ensuring timely resolution.
• Set up new vendors in accounting system.
• Vendor Mailbox Support.
• Support month- end processes such as accruals, flux analysis, expense schedule, Recurring JE's.
• Post Intracompany payables.
• Prepare wire transfer requests.
• Prepare SOP's, Process Documents and other related docs and have it reviewed.
