Job summary

Variabl is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to own the company’s finance function in Bengaluru. The role covers accounting, taxation, compliance, cash flow, reporting, inventory, project costing, and financial controls, with a focus on enabling leadership to make informed business decisions.

You will manage day-to-day finance operations, coordinate with auditors and tax consultants, and build robust finance processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on finance leader with end-to-end ownership of finance functions.
• Experience handling GST, TDS, income tax, audits and statutory compliances.
• Strong ability to prepare MIS, budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Proven track record in inventory accounting, supplier and customer invoicing.
• Collaborates with leadership to enable data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage books of accounts, monthly closing, and financial statements.
• Prepare MIS reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
• Manage GST, TDS, income tax, audits, and other statutory compliances.
• Oversee customer invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
• Track project-wise revenue, costs, margins, and profitability.
• Manage inventory accounting and controls across warehouses, offices, and customer project locations.
• Track stock inward, outward, transfers, installation, returns, damaged stock, and goods in transit.
• Conduct regular physical stock reconciliations and investigate inventory differences.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and overall working capital.
• Review purchase orders, vendor invoices, customer contracts, and commercial terms.
• Establish finance processes, approval controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors, and internal teams.
• Support leadership with financial analysis and business decision-making.
