The role requires hands-on ERP proficiency, strong modeling, and experience with equity incentives and tax planning to preserve runway for a fast-growing startup. Office-based with temporary arrangements.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance / M.Com. with relevant degree.
• 4–8 years of experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or multi-entity business.
• Hands-on ERP expertise, multi-entity banking/disbursement setup, cap table modeling, and synthetic equity.
• Strong financial modeling, taxation, and working capital optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecast to monitor cash runway and burn rate.
• Manage daily liquidity, collections, retention, and banking relations across the group.
• Supervise bookkeeping across entities and enforce maker-checker controls and month-end closures.
• Set up and govern end-to-end banking infrastructure including multi-entity payments.
• Authorize disbursements with audit/compliance controls.
• Drive annual budgeting and consolidate P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
• Analyze unit economics, margins, and customer profitability.
• Design equity, stock compensation, and incentive structures to preserve runway.

Job description

• Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast (monitoring cash runway and burn rate).
• Manage daily liquidity, incoming collections, customer retentions, and bank relationships across the parent company and all subsidiaries.

Accounting Operations & ERP Leadership (Multi-Entity & Group Level):

• Supervise bookkeeping (e.g., Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks) across all group entities, operating units, and subsidiaries.
• Enforce maker-checker controls, purchase 3-way matching, and monthly ledger closures.
• Direct payroll disbursement and employee expense reconciliations.
• Set up, automate, and govern end-to-end banking and payment infrastructure (corporate net-banking, batch payouts, multi-entity payment gateways, and UPI rails).
• Authorize and execute all scheduled and emergency payment disbursements (vendor bills, milestone contracts, payroll, site expenses, and statutory dues) with strict maker-checker controls and audit compliance.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

• Drive annual budgeting and department-level cost tracking across the parent entity and subsidiaries.
• Deliver monthly consolidated and entity-wise P&L, balance sheet, and budget vs. actual variance reports by the 2nd-5th of every month.
• Analyze unit economics, project gross margins, and customer profitability.

Startup Equity, Incentive Structuring & Performance Remuneration:

• Design, model, and administer cash-efficient remuneration structures for founders, core leadership, and key talent to preserve initial operating runway:
• Equity & Stock Compensation: ESOPs, RSUs, and vesting schedules.
• Non-Dilutive / Cash-Preserving Incentives: Synthetic Equity, Phantom Stock, and Net Profit Pool Sharing plans.
• Tiered Milestone Bounties (The "Moonshot" Engine): High-impact, milestone-gated bonuses tied to revenue breakthroughs, product launches, or valuation triggers.
• Model cap table dilution, tax implications (e.g., perquisite tax, capital gains), and legal documentation for all incentive schemes.

Statutory Compliance & Legal Governance:

• Ensure 100% on-time tax filings and remittances (GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, Advance Tax) for each registered entity.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax audits, transfer pricing reviews, and inter-company transactions.
• Monitor corporate secretarial filings (ROC) and vendor/client contractual clauses.
• Prepare monthly consolidated MIS dashboards and financial performance decks for the Board and investors.
• Manage capital structures, debt lines/OD facilities, and government grants or incentives.

Key Requirements

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) / M.Com.
• Experience: 4-8 years, ideally with at least 2-3 years in a high-growth startup, industrial service, or multi-entity business.
• Core Skills: Hands-on ERP expertise, multi-entity banking/disbursement setup, cap table modeling & synthetic equity structuring, advanced financial modeling, direct/indirect taxation, and working capital optimization.
• Office: For upcoming 4 to 5 months, office under development, need to sit in temporary apartment converted office.
