Job summary

Questhiring in India is seeking a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years post-qualification experience to lead complex financial accounting in US GAAP and Ind AS, including consolidation and disclosures.

You will oversee equity/debt, payroll and ESOP, fixed assets, leases under ASC 842, inter-company cross charges, and support audits while partnering with IT for automation. Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years post-qualification experience, including articleship/experience in Big 4 or large accounting firms.
• Sound knowledge of US GAAP and Ind AS.
• Strong understanding of consolidation concepts.
• Excellent MS Excel and IT skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with US-listed organizations preferred.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate audits and respond to GAAP-related audit requests.
• Drive process improvements and automation with internal/external teams.

Job description

• Manage equity and debt accounting in accordance with US GAAP, including instrument classification, valuation, and related disclosures.
• Oversee payroll accounting and ESOP administration, including expense recognition, vesting schedules, and related US GAAP disclosures (ASC 718).
• Manage fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting, including capitalization, depreciation/amortization schedules, and periodic reconciliations.
• Manage lease accounting under ASC 842, including lease classification, right-of-use asset and liability measurement, and related disclosures.
• Manage inter-company cross charges, cost allocations, & settlement processes across group entities.
• Coordinate and manage external and internal Audit requests related to General ledger, controls testing and financial statement
• Drive and partner with external/ internal teams for process improvements, automation

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years of post-qualification experience, including articleship/experience in Big 4 or large accounting firms.
• Sound knowledge of US GAAP/Ind AS.
• Strong financial concepts, knowledge of accounting principles, and clarity on consolidation
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills alongside good IT proficiency, particularly in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with US listed organizations preferred.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce.
