Job summary

PFI Innovation Centre India is seeking a seasoned finance leader to stand up and scale the Finance organization within the India Global Capability Center. You will help shape the operating model, drive transformation, and partner with global leaders to deliver value across the enterprise.

This founder-style role offers global scope, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to lead data- and AI-enabled finance modernization while aligning with Technology and Data strategy.

What You Will Do

This senior leadership role is responsible for standing up and scaling Prudential's Finance organization within the India Global Capability Center (GCC). Reporting to the GCC Site Leader, this leader will join at a formative stage in a true start-up opportunity and play a hands-on role in building finance capabilities in the innovation center from the ground up. Shaping the operating model, establishing initial delivery disciplines, and creating the foundation for a scalable, globally integrated Finance team. Over time, as the organization stabilizes and maturing, the role will increasingly serve as a strategic enterprise partner, helping shape finance strategy and influence enterprise-wide decisions.

Key Responsibilities

What you can expect:

• Lead the buildout and evolution of the Finance organization, moving from initial standup to a scaled, stabilized operating model across several finance functions, with the people, processes, controls, and governance required to sustain reliable long-term delivery.
• Serve as a strategic enterprise partner-creating value beyond operational delivery by informing enterprise decision-making, shaping strategy, and partnering with global leaders on growth and transformation priorities.
• Oversee delivery through local service providers and vendor partners where required, ensuring quality, accountability, and consistent performance across outsourced or co-sourced arrangements.
• Design and implement target operating model, including governance, delivery structure, and performance management routines.
• Lead the transition and integration of work from across the enterprise into the innovation center, ensuring continuity, quality, and clear ownership through each phase of migration.
• Create scalable finance operations by standardizing core processes, simplifying handoffs, and reducing unnecessary complexity.
• Establish KPIs and reporting routines that provide stakeholders with transparency into performance, delivery quality, risks, and progress against transition objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with global leadership and business partners to reinforce transparency, accountability, and confidence in the India platform.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing talent and leadership pipelines.
• Oversee external consultants and advisors on large-scale transformation initiatives.

TRANSFORMATION, INNOVATION & DATA

• Drive end-to-end finance transformation by simplifying processes, reducing manual effort, and improving cycle times across finance operations.
• Leverage data, analytics, automation, and AI to modernize finance capabilities and enable forward-looking decision support.
• Embed a continuous improvement mindset and evolve operating models as the GCC scales.
• Ensure strong cross-functional alignment with Technology and Data strategy to support automation, analytics, platform integration, and scalable delivery.

• Build strong partnerships and establish trust with global stakeholders, ensuring confidence in delivery quality and execution.

What You Will Bring

• 20+ years of experience in finance leadership within global financial services or insurance organizations
• History of establishing GCCs from the ground up and subsequently operating and scaling them to a mature, steady state platform.
• Strong experience in operating model design, finance transformation, and process centralization
• Proven experience overseeing and governing service delivery through third-party service providers and vendor partners.
• Ability to lead large-scale transformation and change initiatives across complex, global organizations.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build leadership depth and develop scalable talent pipelines in a high-growth environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a founder-style environment, bringing structure, pace, and ownership to an evolving organization.
• Experience leveraging data, analytics, and AI to modernize finance functions.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
