Finance Head

Job Description: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the finance function, ensuring the financial integrity of the organization. The role involves overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, accounting, audits, compliance, investment analysis, and operational finance. The CFO will act as a key strategic advisor to the leadership team, helping drive business decisions based on financial insights, ensuring fiscal discipline, and aligning the financial operations with the company's long-term goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Own the overall P&L responsibility of the plant and ensure financial health and profitability.
• Develop and drive mid and long-range business plans covering profitability, balance sheet, working capital, cash flow, and capex planning.
• Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts to assist the leadership in strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Lead the preparation and presentation of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct detailed analysis of company financial performance and oversee preparation of MIS reports.
• Drive monthly performance reviews and present financial results and limited review reports to the Board of Directors.

Budgeting & Cost Management

• Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with top management.
• Perform monthly budget vs actual analysis to identify and explain variances.
• Head the costing function, including pricing strategy for customer business finalization.

SAP & Digital Finance Transformation

• Oversee and continuously improve SAP systems to meet evolving business needs.
• Successfully implemented modules such as Inventory Aging, Maker-Checker rule, H-to-H (Host-to-Host) integration, MIS automation, and SAP-based costing.
• Ensure automation and digitization of financial processes to enhance transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.

Audit & Compliance

• Lead statutory, internal, tax, and transfer pricing audits.
• Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance norms.

Investment & Risk Management

• Evaluate and advise on investment decisions, risk exposure, and opportunities for growth.
• Conduct in-depth risk assessments to manage financial, operational, and legal risks.
• Monitor related party transactions, ensuring adherence to group limits and pricing norms.

Operational Finance

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Banking, GL scrutiny, and working capital management.
• Lead inventory valuation and control through SAP, ensuring inventory norms are maintained and variances investigated.
• Ensure timely and accurate closure of books of accounts.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• CA / ICWA / MBA Finance with 15+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector
• Automotive industry experience will be preferred.
• Involvement in business expansion, technology integration, or transformation projects.
