Job summary

Torrent Group in India seeks a GST professional with deep knowledge of GST Act & Rules to oversee monthly and annual returns, assessments with the department, and related compliance. The role includes handling notices, ITC reviews, and SAP GST reporting to ensure accurate filings.

Interdepartmental coordination with consultants and lawyers, along with audit data submission and familiarity with litigation at tribunals, HC and SC, will be essential.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of GST Act & Rules.
• Experience filing monthly and annual GST returns.
• Familiar with GST assessment processes with department.
• Exposure to customs, bill of entry review/finalization.
• Experience replying to GST notices.
• SAP GST reporting related to ITC and returns filing.
• Overview of GST returns filing and ITC utilization.
• 2B reconciliation awareness.
• Audit data submission related to GST.
• Familiarity with litigation at department level, Tribunal, HC and SC.
• Coordination with user departments, consultants and lawyers.
• Accounting and audit exposure to IND AS, Income Tax, MSME, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual GST returns filing processes.
• Respond to notices from GST department with accurate filings.
• Collaborate with departments, consultants and lawyers on GST matters.
• Utilize SAP GST reports for ITC and return filing reviews.
• Coordinate audits and provide data submissions for GST compliance.
• Assist in reconciliation 2B and related GST data tasks.
