Responsibilities

• Partner with HUB Controller and LPG Manager to develop long and short-term financial and operational plans.
• Oversee the business planning and forecasting process and interface with local and global management.
• Evaluate financial implications of strategic decisions, build scenarios and recommend actions.
• Monitor financial aspects of manufacturing costs, product costing, operational KPI's, and provide insights for decision-making.
• Identify issues and advise management on actions and operating strategies to resolve.
• Drive cost structure optimization, productivity improvements and capital efficiency.
• Closely monitor OCF, supply revenues, Operational EBITA %, and improve Net Working Capital.
• Review and clean up balance sheets periodically.
• Establish and oversee processes to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and information.
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
• Ensure SOX, Japan GAAP and Hitachi Group policy alignment; maintain proper audit-ready documents.
• Communicate with internal/external stakeholders to deliver key messages and discuss improvement areas; coordinate with Operations, HR, Sales, etc.
• Support safe working environment, HSE improvements and integrity performance; live Hitachi values.
• Assess business risk exposure and define mitigation strategies within own area; drive risk management processes.
• Support continuous improvement through saving projects and tracking savings monthly.
• Maintain and refresh training 'Finance for Non Finance' for the control function and team capacity.

Business Planning and Forecasting

Partner with the HUB Controller, LPG Manager to develop both long term and short term financial and operational plan. Oversees the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serves as the interface to Local and Global management. Evaluates financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios and recommends actions.

Business Performance

Monitors all financial aspects of the manufacturing and related costs, product costing, operational KPI's, and provides insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identifies issues, and advises management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Responsible to drive appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization and capital efficiency. Closely monitors OCF, supply revenues, Operational EBITA %, and takes action to improve Net Working Capital. Review and clean up balance sheet periodically.

Financial Reporting

Establishes and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensures high quality and compliance of financial data and business information in line with defined standards & financial closing schedules. Ensure system set up correctly to reflect accuracy data.

Internal Controls and Compliance

Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley [SOX], Japan GAAP and all HITACHI Group policies. Taking the lead in sustaining the alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls and Assurance. Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Maintain proper documents for future tax/internal/external audit reviews.

Communication with internal and external stakeholders

Ensure timely, effective and efficient communication with relevant Functions / CCC, Accounting Center, and other internal customers such as Operations, Sales, Group, Manufacturing Plants, HR, Service, etc. to deliver key messages and identify and discuss areas for improvement. Ensure proper communication and explanation when working with external audit, customs, tax authorities.

Supports ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement processes and integrity performance. Personally, lives the Hitachi values and Group standards.

Risk management

Assesses business risk exposure and defines risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance in own area of responsibility. Ensures risk management processes are consistently implemented in the LPG. Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.

Continuous improvement

Support operational function in creating saving project, developing fomula to calculate the saving amount and monitoring the saving on monthly basic.

Training

Maintain refresh training "Finance for Non Finance" for support function as well as regular training for controlling team to enhance knowledge and capacity of the team.
