Job summary

Danaher India in Bengaluru is seeking a Finance Controller to lead Controllership, Compliance, and Governance for DHR Holding Entities. You will drive financial integrity, robust controls, and regulatory compliance while partnering with business leaders to support growth and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 13+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, taxation, and FP&A.
• Strong governance, risk management, and internal controls expertise.
• Experience with audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• Knowledge of Navision ERP is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Ind AS, and statutory requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls and month-end close processes.
• Lead statutory and internal audits with timely closure.
• Drive tax compliance, transfer pricing, and tax litigation support.
• Develop risk identification mechanisms and remediation actions.
• Support ERP enhancements and process improvements for controls.
• Partner with business leaders on growth initiatives and new entity setups.
• Drive finance transformation and automation initiatives.

The Finance Controller will lead the Controllership, Compliance, and Governance agenda for DHR Holding Entities, driving financial integrity, strong controls, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role requires a strong technical accounting foundation combined with a business partnering mindset to support growth and strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the Finance Director, Danaher India, this Bangalore-based role will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Ind AS, and statutory accounting requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, balance sheet governance, month-end close, and financial reporting processes.
• Lead statutory and internal audits, ensuring timely closure with minimal observations.
• Drive compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations, transfer pricing requirements, and tax litigation support.
• Develop risk identification mechanisms and ensure timely closure of audit and compliance actions.
• Support ERP and process improvements to enhance controls, compliance, and efficiency.
• Partner with business leaders on growth initiatives, new entity setups, IDC support, and strategic projects.
• Drive shared service model setup, finance transformation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 13+ years of experience across accounting, controllership, taxation, and FP&A in multinational or large organizations.
• Strong expertise in financial controls, compliance, governance, and risk management.
• High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to challenge constructively.
• Strong ethics around compliance and integrity and no compromise mindset.
• Strong stakeholder management, business partnering, and change leadership skills.
• Proven track record in process improvement, automation, and finance transformation.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Navision ERP preferable but not mandatory, however ability to learn existing ERP and drive efficiency and productivity improvements is expected.
