Job summary

Ingersoll Rand India is seeking a Finance Controller to lead all financial activities of a group company. The role reports to the Finance Controller, CSS India and oversees monthly/quarterly accounting, planning, reporting, analysis, controls, and statutory reporting for the entities.

The ideal candidate will manage payroll accounting, balance sheet controls, and consolidation under Indian GAAP and US GAAP, partnering with senior leaders to drive financial performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with strong accounting and finance background.
• Experience in Oracle/SAP ERP environments is essential.
• 12–15 years in manufacturing/engineering/auto/heavy industry is required.
• 3–4 years in leadership role in finance controllership/FP&A and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Leads Accounting/Finance team including payroll, costing and reporting.
• Manages external audit processes.
• Prepares annual statutory financial statements.
• Leads AOP process and quarterly forecasting.
• Acts as finance business partner to MDs/business heads.
• Manages balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
• Oversees ledgers in Indian GAAP and US GAAP.
• Manages payroll accounting.

Job Summary

The Controller reports to Finance Controller, CSS India and is responsible for leading all the financial activities of a group company. Person would be accountable for monthly and quarterly financial accounting, planning, reporting, analysis, controls, and annual statutory reporting for the legal entities.

Responsibilities

• Leads entire Accounting/Finance team including payroll, cost analysis and reporting
• Management of the external audit process
• Preparation of annual statutory financial statements
• Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and quarterly forecasting
• Finance business partner to the managing directors/ business head
• Balance sheet management and controls, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Management of ledgers within the accounting system – maintaining records of Indian GAAP & US GAAP
• Managing payroll accounting
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate finance policies and procedures, statutory requirements, and internal controls processes.
• Establish processes for monthly closing per US and India GAAP requirement
• Consolidate & establish reporting of P&L’s within India business
• Other responsibilities as assigned or required

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Should be qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Should have working experience in Oracle/ SAP.
• Overall 12-15 years of working experience in any Manufacturing, Engineering, Pharma, Auto, Heavy Industrial Equipment Industry etc.
• 3-4 years’ Experience in leadership role in finance controllership/FP&A and management reporting.

Desired Skills

• Expert in accounting & MIS/FP&A work
  • Experience in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of accounting standards, budgeting, variance analysis/FP&A.
  • Strong creative problem-solving mind-set.
• Clear grasp of verbal and written English.
  • Proactive, self-motivating with ability to develop own priorities
  • Excellent IT skills – advanced Excel, presentation skills
  • Experience managing external and internal audits
