Job summary

RSM is seeking a Senior Associate in its DDS Point Solutions Finance Automation practice in Hyderabad. The role offers hands-on client exposure, and you will support high-level operational delivery for Finance Transformation initiatives including system configuration, training, and client workshops.

You will work within a team, capitalize on your BlackLine knowledge, and interact with diverse stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• MBA/CA with majors in Finance/Accounting, MCA/B.Tech in Business Analytics with Finance Transformation experience
• 3+ years of experience in finance transformation consulting or finance/accounting related to organization structure, COA, GL, close
• Extensive implementation experience and knowledge of financial close applications like BlackLine
• Certification in BlackLine modules like Account Reconciliation, Journal Entry, Transaction Matching, FRA, Studio360 is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience working in virtual teams and independently
• Curiosity about business and technology; ability to learn quickly
• Plus: FloQast, Workiva, Coupa, Kyriba, High Radius

Responsibilities

• Model the core RSM values in client interactions and team collaboration
• Develop understanding of RSM Data and Digital Services approach and tools
• Ensure success of project deliverables and assigned tasks
• Independently demonstrate system components and provide admin/user training
• Support client workshops and capture notes, actions, and deliverables
• Escalate when needed and align with PM framework across projects
• Assist with sales scoping, proposals, pricing, and MF T
• Mentor juniors and lead sub sections of initiatives
• Obtain technical certifications and articulate business processes
• Configure basic system elements and guide others on integrations
• Manage relationships with client tech leads and stakeholders
• Review project status docs and ensure quality of work
• Collaborate with US consultants and pursue ongoing education

Qualification and Minimum Entry Requirements

• MBA (from premier B School) / CA or equivalent with majors in Finance/Accounting, MCA/B.Tech. (from premier institutes) or equivalent in Business Analytics, Information System & Data Science with relevant experience in Finance Transformation
• The candidate should have at least 3+ years of experience in finance transformation consulting or Finance/Accounting related to Organization Structure, Chart of Accounts, General Ledger, Financial Close, etc.
• Extensive implementation experience and knowledge of financial close applications like BlackLine
• Certification in different BlackLine modules like Account Reconciliation, Journal Entry, Transaction Matching, FRA, Studio360 etc. is an added advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels
• Excellent organization and follow-up skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Must be a team player; able to work in virtual teams and independently

Position Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate within the DDS Point Solutions Finance Automation practice, you will work with various sized clients and receive hands‑on client experience and you will be responsible for providing the highest level of operational support to RSM clients. The candidate must demonstrate willingness to go the extra mile for the team's success. You will be responsible for working with the Point Solutions practice team to serve clients, by:

• Modelling the core RSM values of respect and uncompromising integrity, succeeding together, excellence in all we do, impactful innovation, stewardship: acting responsibly in all interactions with clients and team members
• Develop an understanding of the RSM Data and Digital Services approach, methodology and tools
• Responsible for the success of project deliverables & assigned tasks
• Ability to independently demonstrate all system components, provide admin training and user training with support
• Provide support in client workshops (discovery, design, etc.) by capturing notes, identifying & tracking action items, creating deliverable documents and designing simple models
• Provide support on projects implemented by you or any other projects and recognize when an item requires escalationBecome familiar with the project management (PM) framework and demonstrate competency in activities corresponding to your level
• Participate in sales & scoping calls, assist with proposal preparation and draft pricing & MFT
• Develop junior resources, provide feedback and serve as navigator
• Volunteer to participate and take ownership of a subsection on other practice initiatives
• Achieve appropriate technical certifications, develop moderate system knowledge, should be able to articulate business processes relevant to your product & seek exposure to learn adjacent business processes
• Must be able to independently configure basic system elements, build simple integration components and should be able to guide others on these items
• Effectively managing relationship with customer technical leads and business stakeholders
• Review and complete project status documents for client delivery
• Perform technical and quality review of associate's work
• Thinking proactively and acting with complete follow-through
• Work collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM consulting professionals in the U.S. daily
