Job summary

NCR Atleos in Mumbai is seeking a Chartered Accountant to oversee local accounting and controllership activities, including preparation of financial statements under Local GAAP/IND AS and US GAAP month-end close.

The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, people management, and advanced Excel capabilities to support balance sheet reconciliations, audit coordination, and compliance with statutory and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and communication abilities.
• Experience with Excel and financial modelling is advantageous.
• Exposure to US GAAP month-end close and local GAAP/IND AS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare local GAAP/IND AS financial statements (P&L, balance sheet) and related schedules.
• Manage local accounting and controllership duties.
• Liaise with internal and statutory auditors.
• Ensure smooth month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings for US GAAP.Coordinate monthly close with finance team.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support business units during month-end activities and ensure policy compliance.

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing local accounting and controllership activities, including financial statement preparation under Local GAAP/IND AS, US GAAP month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, audit coordination, statutory compliance, internal controls, and P&L oversight. The role requires strong analytical, communication, people management, and advanced Excel skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements for local GAAP / IND AS (P&L, BS, related schedules)
• Responsible for managing local accounting and controllership duties
• Liaise with Internal and Statutory auditors
• Ensure smooth month, quarter and annual close for management books (US GAAP)
• Establish monthly close schedule in co-operation with finance and accounting team
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Co-ordination and support to Business units during month end activities
• Ensuring compliance of corporate policies in all the areas of accounting, business operations centre and related areas
• Enforce policies and conduct first level analysis of deviation requests
• Ensure an effective internal control environment is maintained at all times, including Accenture handoff, escalations, and approvals
• Ensure compliance and adherence to all local statutory and corporate policies, regulations and laws as per the guideline given by TAX teams (direct and indirect),
• Oversight and understanding of the P&L
• Assist in training, education, NCR financial processes and procedures
• Support Fixed Asset team for proper accounting / capitalizations
• Development of culture of Continuous improvement

Qualification:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
